Preparation for the complex testing of the main equipment at Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP

In the course of construction of the Nizhne-Bureyskaya Hydro Power Plant (HPP), GES-engineering LLC has completed electrical installation to support startup of Hydropower Unit GA No. 1 and GA No. 2 and is now getting ready for full-scale tests of the main equipment in the first startup package.
During one year of work, the company's team have installed, set up, and put into operation auxiliary plant equipment, including a 6 kV switchgear assembly, 6/0.4 kV packaged transformer substations, an operating DC voltage system, and power supply for auxiliary plant systems.
In addition, they have installed and tested the main equipment for Gas Turbine No. 1 and Gas Turbine No. 2, namely: 220 kV power transformers, 13.8 kV and 6 kV cast insulation busbars, 220 kV cable lines, and 13.8 kV SF6 generator circuit breakers.
Control alarm, and safety equipment has been installed and connected at the unit and plant levels. The central control board has been put into operation.
At present, the water reservoir of the Nizhne-Bureyskaya HPP is being filled up to the startup elevation. GES-engineering LLC, in cooperation with other companies, is making preparations for the full-scale tests under the program.
